Adult Placement Scheme
Service summary
The Adult Placement Scheme offers adults over 18 who have an assessed need, support to develop independence and promote wellbeing within a family environment. This includes people with learning or physical disabilities, mental health problems and the elderly.
Short term support and long-term placements are offered which include safeguarding and crisis support, transitional support and respite care. A support plan with goals will be put in place and during the placement.
The Adult Placement Scheme will:
- Assess suitability of carers
- Check health and safety in the home
- Carry out Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks
If you would like to join our scheme as a carer, you must live in Enfield and have a spare bedroom so the adult placed with you can have their own space. You will go through a panel approval process and be required to attend reviews, carers meetings and mandatory training.
