Service summary

Enfield Carers Centre is a local charity providing information, advice, training and other support services to people either living in, or looking after someone who lives in the Borough of Enfield.

These people are Carers. A Carer is someone of any age who provides unpaid support to family, a partner or close friend who could not manage without help. This could be because of illness, frailty, disability, mental ill health or substance misuse problems.

Anyone can become a Carer at any time in their life. Every day in the UK 6,000 people take on a caring responsibility. 3 in 5 people will be Carers at some point in their lives.

We offer social activities, opportunities to meet with other local Carers, relaxation sessions for some ‘me time’ and practical advice and information.

Enfield Carers Centre also manages the Carers Emergency Card Scheme on behalf of Enfield Council. Carers wishing to join this scheme will receive a Carers Card with the additional emergency information printed on the rear.

Enfield Carers Centre now include homecare services
